I’ve recalculated the Top 100 Australian Blogs Index.

Again, special thanks to Scott Yang, and also Anthony at The Local. His new additions help me flag blogs to check. If you’re an Aussie Blogger, I highly recommend you submit your blog to Blogs.com.au.

Also, special congratulations to our own Duncan Riley who appears to have a new writing gig on Techcrunch (the 18th most popular blog in the world according to Technorati).

Hey Meg, thanks for the mention!

#93 hey, I’ll keep working on it, am I the only teen in that list, cause that’d be pretty sweet if so.

I just updated my blog design – cost me $150! – you should look into giving yours a perk up, don’t get me wrong, WordPress Classic and all… ;)

Cool blog, it’s in the feed pool. :)

    Hi Michael

I noticed the “teen blogger” reference on your blog! Somehow figured you for older. I’ll have to check it out – but you may well be.

Thanks for your (not so) subtle hints about my web design – I know it sucks – but hey, look at Robert Scoble ;)

I’ve been threatening to do it for a while – took steps today to transfer this to my own domain which will give me a lot more flexibility.

Congrats, and thanks for stopping by.

    Meg,

Just before I get a few hours sleep I thought I’d pass on my idea.

Create us a badge we can place on our site that updates based on our ranking, BlogTopSites let us do that and it’s great.

An Australian only one would be fantastic! Take a look at how they do it, can’t see what would make it so hard, a dynamic image is created for each of us to place on our site with our name and a link to the Top 100 Australian Blogs.

What do you think, okay, now going to bed! :D

Well, yess! You the people love it, why should you bother finetuning your blog presentation? Ugly is not bad! However, scobleizer is not ugly.

Eeek!! I’m almost out. That can’t be good!

  • Leigh // May 4, 2007 at 7:18 am

I look forward to your move Meg ;) If you change designs, I hope you don’t lose the pink!

Glad to see you back in the list, just as you should be.

Some great new blogs to add to the list, and not so great..not sure my cats blog really deserves to be in the list

I feed read is getting so full, but I love it!

  • Matt Vapor // May 4, 2007 at 9:42 am

Awesome I made the list!!!! :D

Thanks for all your work Meg keeping the list going!

  • Meg // May 4, 2007 at 9:45 am

Steady on Michael – remember my blog design ;) Do you think I’m that technically competent?

The thought HAS crossed my mind – I just have NO idea!

  • Meg // May 4, 2007 at 9:49 am

Belajar – I was not saying that Scobleizer is ugly, just that his design is quite “basic” and yet he is obviously very popular!

    Karen – sorry :(

Leigh – you think I should keep the pink? I guess lots of other cats must like your cat’s blog ;) I just do the numbers….

  • Meg // May 4, 2007 at 9:52 am

Congrats Matt – hope all is going well with the computer recycling.

  • Leigh // May 4, 2007 at 9:58 am

The cats get more mail and link backs that I do LMAO

Yes, the pink in some way is a must stay. The Aussie blogosphere needs a bit of girliness

Cheers for the link Meg. And I love your design. K.I.S.S!

BTW – a quick heads up – bhatt.id.au is pointing to my gardeningtipsnideas.com blog as well.

  • Meg // May 4, 2007 at 1:22 pm

    Hi Stuart

Thanks for your comment and the heads up (all fixed now) :)

  • Jeremy Jacobs // May 5, 2007 at 9:25 am

    So, how are things down-under?

  • Meg // May 5, 2007 at 12:24 pm

    Hi Jeremy

Nice to hear from you :)

Things are great down-under – busy as always!

One to add to your list – ‘Blogocracy’, run by Tim Dunlop. I can’t see it on your list but may not be looking hard enough ;)

Like Andrew Bolt, he’s a News Ltd blogger, but also like Andrew Bolt, he runs a legitimate blog that engages with the rest of Ozblogistan. He used to run Road to Surfdom.

    Hi Meg,

I’ve read a few of your posts just now, after stumbling across you through Press Posts, which I’ve also just discovered after seeing a bunch of my posts had been submitted by anonymous readers and voted for – that was a bit of a surprise… Anyway, I just wanted to say that you’ve done a great job here. I hardly know of any Australian bloggers and it’s always feels a bit like coming home when I do find one. The bonus here, is that you’re doing us all a great service by linking…

I’ll add you to my blogroll. :)

    Vanessa

    Hi Vanessa

Sorry, I’ve had a busy couple of days moving my blog. Thanks for stopping in and saying hi!

Wow! I see what you mean about Press Posts – I think I had a pingback once but I wasn’t aware of the extent. At least I’ve got some votes ;)

I’ve added you to my link roll too.
