Journeying past the 50 mark of blog posts I feel this site has much clearer meaning, a purpose, relevance … at least to me!
The blog is a collection of stories, thoughts, observations and wanderings of a guy who suddenly woke up and realised he was middle aged.
That his view of life wasn’t quite like those of the younger somethings that flit around the Internet. That his persistent use of language using more than one or two syllables wasn’t catchy and optimised for Google and broad markets.
Yet ponder he does: Observe, Assimilate and Regurgitate pretty much sums up this blog. My blog of OAR.
I do enjoy making a mockery of myself, and sometimes others.
So Who is the Author?
Even the use of the word author seems too lofty but so be it, it’s as apt as writer, content creator, ranter, blogger, poster, opinionated self righteous middle aged typer.
Well, I am who I am not to say I AM – for that would be untrue for I am not I AM, but believe in I AM completely. I am a follower of the Way or try to be. I attend a pentecostal church and love Jesus unashamedly.
I am also a husband, a dad, a brother, a son, a boss, an employee, a colleague, an acquaintance, a friend, not sure I’m a foe (if so unintentionally!), I’m a ranter, and raver, a social commentator and observer and love the use of language especially allegory.
